Afternoon folks. I've had a hectic day at work, and nearly fried in the 36 degree (for those in the USA, that's 98 degrees) heat in Canberra as I walked from the office to the shopping plaza at lunch time. Whew. Thank heaven our apartment is air conditioned.

It's promising to be a busy day again tomorrow, but much cooler. I think I'll ride in on my trusty treadly (aka bike) and maybe bus home. One of the good things about the ACT is that we get to ride free on the buses if we have a bike on the rack - yes, a lot of our buses have a bike rack on them. Way to go!

Mini Mem is away visiting family at the moment. I'm missing her, even though she hardly ever seems to be here even when she is - if you get what I mean!

Hello all.

Signing in from back home . Arrived back from my Queensland trip about an hour and a half ago. Dropped in to mum and dad's to say hi, then back to my place to get sorted for the rest of the weekend, and for the start of work again on Monday.

It was a hot night here in Melbourne - 30 degrees - and we are in for 39 today

Son went to the beach yday afternoon and said it was packed..our house has been busy since he got back with his friends coming and going lol -- I enjoy it tho

A couple of my friends popped over last nite too - was the perfect nite to kick back: )
