Memsahib sent me this snippet of news: Medicare, Centrelink to be merged . Apparently Medicare, Centrelink and a number of other services are to be relocated into a one-stop-shop service under the Minister for Human Services. All other government functions will continue to be provided by the Department of Inhuman Services, I guess ... :whistle:

CARD skimming machines are "running red hot" and Australians are being warned to take care when using ATMs or eftpos machines over the Christmas break.

This happened to one of the ladies I know - money was taken from Australia, overseas -- took ages for her to get her money back
