Son and I had a good yak the other day - seeing your kids growing up is so rewarding : ) His a sensible kid and we are very close -- I am close to both of them..
I was laughing last nite at my sons girlfriend - she is so bubbly and full of life : )
She brought some of her friends over to meet me and in the kitchen we were yak yak yakking and laughing..
The other day when my son was taking his friends home from Uni, she came over and said, your sons gonna be late coz he is taking the Uni home haha

... and which will probably be shredded in the years to come ... and so continues the circlle of life ... and, "like sands through the hourglass" ...I bought a paper shredder yesterday, and have today been happily shredding away old stuff that hasn't been looked at in years, thereby creating space for new stuff (which WILL be used)
If you think I'm wrong then say "I think you're wrong". If you say, "You're wrong", how do you know?

Mum and dad live next to a lovely couple who have two boys (I'm guessing about 17 and 19 years old). This couple needed to go away from home for a night, but didn't want the boys to find out. So, by arrangement with my folks, the couple were driven to the railway station sometime on Friday by my brother to get the train to wherever they were going. Friday night was all peace and quiet in the folks' neighbourhood (as per normal).
Come early Saturday night, and the people from next door still had not arrived home. Mum and dad started to observe the arrival of many, many "P" plate cars next door, together with many, many slabs, cans, casks, etc. of alcohol. About 1/2 hour later, and before things had started to get too rowdy, mum and dad observed teenagers, together with slabs, cans, casks, etc., hurriedly making their way back to cars and disappearing. About 10 minutes after that, back home arrive the parents from next door.
We suspect that the boys had received a "we're home" phone call from the parents, just prior to their arrival back, and with enough time for the boys to organise a clear-out of the place.
Gave me a huge grin hearing this story this morning.
