What made you smile?

Today, I started gathering some info for my next big motoring trip (Xmas 2009/New Year 2010). I'll be wandering around parts of the southern NSW/Victoria border area.

Another reason to smile today :woohoo: I just got a phone call to inform me that I've met all the requirements for the completion of the course in my latest piece of paper

My son made me smile this morning : )

Just had breaky with him and he has just left for Uni - He has a full load, being second year of Civil Engineering - they told him next year he will be working as an undergraduate for 6-12mths - I am rapt for him : ) : )-
He had a cheeky grin lol

His part time job has been full on as well (in demand) so I told him
- BALANCE is the key

Your Uni and all to do with it comes first, part time work and social have to be at par...

I don't want to appear to be racist, nor sexist nor quick to stereotype ... but asian wimmen and their (apparent) inability to handle spatial management ... :-o Yesterday, I watched this woman in the parking lot (driving a Nissan Pulsar - not a large car) make three unsuccessful attempts to drive into a parking bay. There was nothing particularly unusual about the parking space, except that, either side of it, there were other parked vehicles. In the end she gave up her attempt. So I watched her, again, drive 10 metres to another vacant parking space to begin the process all over again.

I left, shaking my head in disbelief, after watching her make two further unsuccessful tries to park her car. It was too painful to bear! :laugh:

This isn't the first time I've observed this phenomenon and it's not confined just to the female of the species, either. Maybe it's a cultural issue regarding their different appreciation about "confines of space" perhaps? Whatever the reason, I'm particularly wary anywhere near where asian wimmen are driving. :whistle:

A couple of other things that occurred yesterday: memsahib's note on the shopping list for toothbrush "endy things" - I think she meant toothbrush heads (for the electric toothbrush).

Mini-mem' enquired last night, over dinner, "When is Octoberfest?" She's not blonde, either! :laugh:

Mini Mem's blondeness depends on one's definition of blonde. It certainly was a wonderful moment - especially the look on her face when she realised what she'd said.

I laughed this morning

My sons g/friend was talking about a white jumper she couldnt find, and my son says, there's a white jumper on the couch - she says, thats not white, its cream

He looks at her as if to say - whats the difference?

Me and his g/friend cracked up laughing

its white blue green purple - thats it

We had a great day today and laughed, reminiscing with my sister in laws sister : )

When my brother and her sister started going out, we met and we used to all catch up at the night clubs - she is my age

The kids had a good laugh at our expense and our mums were happy to fuel it lol

When driving back from Young last Tuesday, we drove a different route ... through a town called Wombat. The oddest thing I noticed: several signs along the road advertising the local produce ... "Wombat eggs". :laugh:

I am going to the Pink Concert at the end of the month -- aaaah

Ms Pink just offered me a ticket and I said yip : )
We are going together
